10/5/2010 A Conversion ExperienceScriptures: Acts 9:1-9
In these verses we read about Paul's conversion where he experienced a life change orchestrated by God. Paul switched sides in one day. Let's take some time to see what kind of man Paul (Saul) was: "Saul was breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples," at first he was a mean and angry man! Then he began a journey to being called the apostle Paul and on the road to Damacus he walked into the light. He fell to the ground and began a conversation with Jesus: "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Paul responded: Who are you, Lord?" This was his wake-up call, "I am Jesus." We see here that Paul has become a humble man. He questions the Lord "what do you want me to do?" The Lord sends him to Damacus with a new agenda where a man named Ananias who told him what to do. Here we see that Paul has become a saved man, a new man. The Bible then tells us that Paul went and "immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the son of God." He preached a sermon everywhere he went, he was a different man. He became a preaching man. Paul was no longer mean and angry, instead he was forgiven and saved. He was a man with something to say that would truly change lives. Is it time for a conversion experience in your life? The question is not what type of person you are, but what type of person you can become through Christ Jesus! Let God come in and transform you into a new person. Comments are closed.
