11/16/2015 The Power of Spiritual SynergyScriptures: Matthew 18:18-20
"There is a law called synergy or synergism. This law states that when the joint action of agents are brought together they increase each other's effectiveness." Synergy is defined as: "cooperative interaction among groups; the increased effectiveness that result when two or more people work together; the interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects." When we synergize with God: victory is sure. When an individual or a church cooperates with Jesus the impossible becomes possible. When lepers agreed with Jesus they were healed. When the demon possessed agreed with Jesus they were delivered. When the hungry agreed with Jesus they were fed. When Peter agreed with Jesus he walked on water. When disciples agreed with Jesus they turned the world upside down. The power of spiritual synergy: Jesus is touched by combined faith. Think about the power of cooperative faith, the Amplified Bible states it this way in Matthew 18:19: "Again I say to you, that if two-believers on earth agree (that is, are of one mind, in harmony) about anything that they ask (within the will of God), it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven." The power of agreement is combined faith: faith added to faith! Jesus is moved by shared responsibility and implementation: God smiles when we use His resources working together for His purpose on this earth. "For where two or three are gathered in my name (meeting together as my followers), I am there among them," Matthew 18:20 in the Amplified Bible. Implementation means: "the process of putting a plan into effect." Jesus is a God of plans: He gives us a plan of salvation! Jesus has a plan to reach the world: its our responsibility to implement that plan. Its time for the church to spiritually synergize: to come together to increase our effectiveness- a cooperative interaction. It's time to pile faith on top of faith: to come into agreement with our God so that the impossible can become the possible. 11/9/2015 Built to LastScriptures: 2 Timothy 2:1-4
How do you live a Christian life that is built to last? Here are four spiritual insights necessary for a lasting Christian life: 1) Find strength in God's grace: the Bible tells us to "be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." The word "strong" explains that we are empowered by a source outside of ourselves. We must stay plugged into God's resources. 2) Center your life around Jesus: picture your life as a wagon wheel. The spokes on the wheel are your job, family, marriage, kids, church, possession and your time: Jesus is the hub. The hub holds everything together and makes it function correctly. 3) Pay the price: stay free from entanglements. Serving God comes with a price! There are some things you need to say "no" to in advance; there are some things you need to say "yes" to in advance. 4) Don't give up: don't give up no matter what! It's better to fall moving forward, then fall backing up. Remember God's faithfulness: Jesus is committed to you. Remember God's grace: Jesus is a God of mercy. Remember God's love: Jesus accepts you for who you are, not what the world has made you. Live a life that makes a mark for God! Live a life that is built to last! |
