Scriptures: Ezekiel 21:18-24
"The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city. " In these verses (18-19) we see that the the prophet is told to draw a map, which shows us that: God gives instruction to His leaders. Sometimes as saints we are not able to make the right choices, because we are too busy to think or hear clearly, but we still need to move forward regardless of our inability to hear or think. The next verse: "Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced." The Prophet is told to draw a map to bring destruction to the children of God and this map is to be given to the enemy. Destruction and judgment were going to happen, it was just a matter of time. 1. Bigotry and racial divide. 2. Financial quagmire or financial storm 3. Health & Sickness problems Verse 21: "For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made [his] arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver." God chose to bring judgment and destruction, while the king of Babylon used divinations and witchcraft to determined his next move. But when something is ordained of God is doesn’t matter what it will come to pass!!! "At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint [battering] rams against the gates, to cast a mount, [and] to build a fort. " God allowed for the answer from the divination to read “Jerusalem," which was a city where the people felt secure. In this verse Jerusalem represents the people of God and His people are given the open to: obey that what you know to be right and true or be part of those that will be destroy and have their actions judged. Verse 23: "And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken." There are some Christians that feel as though nothing can harm them, because sin and iniquity has taken root and with that comes an air of impenetrability or the idea that nothing can harm them. When truly it is this sin that allows for destruction and offences to find you out and wreak havoc in your life. God always explains where we are at and what we need to do to be restored in good standing with Him. He desires for us to: "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:6-11 Comments are closed.
