3/15/2020 A Call to Prayer
9/22/2019 Faith in Difficult Times"Scripture: John 16: 33
A Christian is not a person without problems: Christians are not immune to the pressures of life. Stress will wear us down physically, emotionally and spiritually. We need to be armed with a plan for dealing with difficult times: Savor the right things: We often savor the wrong things: like reliving painful memories of our past. When you savor something, you enjoy it to the fullest. Our thoughts determine the spiritual soil of our minds. Chose to savor the right things. Ask yourself: what good things can I savor instead of the bad? Savor the day, the beauty of creation, the richness of friends and family, savor being in God’s house. "Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Quiet your life to discover missed joys. Replenish your soul with daily reminders of little blessings. Count your blessings, not your problems. Talk about your blessing more than you talk about your burdens. "Write your hurts in the sand. Carve your blessings in stone." You will be blessed the moment you realize blessings already exist in your life. Proverbs 28: 20 NET - "A faithful person will have an abundance of blessings." Release your fears to God. Jesus is your ever-present help in times of trouble. Jesus has given you the power to change and overcome your situation. Believe in what seems inconceivable and impossible. Do not try to control the results but have a vision of a specific outcome. "Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." 9/4/2019 The Name of JesusScripture: Proverbs 18:10 & John 20: 30-31
