7/6/2014 You are A SurvivorScriptures: Mark1: 1-13 John the Baptist and Jesus' ministries started in the wilderness. Some of the most rewarding things in life start out in a place that is lonely, disorderly and even dangerous. Miracles begin in the midst of trouble, tribulation and torment: what seems to be a negative is a vehicle for the positive. We all have had our wilderness experience: those places where we are struggling to survive. We are tempted by Satan, wild beasts trying to devour us and wandering in this wilderness experience. There are three things which helps us survive our wilderness experience: 1) A sense of purpose- John and Jesus had a purpose so their wilderness became a birthing ground for great victories. 2) A proclamation- we need a faith story: a testimony of hope. We must remember we have made it this far by God's grace. 3) A God-given promise- Do not let the wilderness steal your faith! God will not leave you in the wilderness. Jesus showed up for John: his purpose and proclamation were proven. God will show up and send you allies, even when Jesus was in the wilderness the angels ministered unto Him. You are a survivor! You will come out of your wilderness with a greater sense of purpose, a story of hope and proof that God keeps His promises. Comments are closed.
