10/11/2017 From Survival to Revival...Scriptures: Ezekiel 37: 1-14
Our Goal: Is to move from Survival Mode to Revival Mode: In Survival mode we seem to move from one difficult situation to another and spend a lot of time worrying about or fearing what might happen. Stress is overwhelming and we spend time always dealing with the urgent. Everything is a reaction never proactive. Many Christians serve God in a survival mode state. They are in the church but not of the church. They are too spiritually weak for excitement and are too worn out for wonder. They indeed say. “Our bones are dry, our hope is lost and we ourselves are cut off.” They are controlled by suspicion and all of this leads to spiritual disengagement. Jesus wants your daily life to be meaningful and full of hidden beauties, the Word says it this way: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." It’s time to move into revival mode: Revival means to come alive, a resurrection. The Lord asked Ezekiel, “Son of man can these bones live?” God always has purpose when He asks a question. He told Ezekiel to prophesy.: "Prophesy to these bones – you shall live." The bones represent lost hope. "Prophesy to the breath – Breathe on these that they shall live." Breath represents the Holy Spirit. "Prophesy to my people – I will put my spirit in you and you shall live." Only God can give you the life you really want. There are steps we can take to move into a revival mode: We must have a burning desire to please God. Faith and faithfulness pleases God. Become a person of worship. A true worshipper. Dry bones hear the Word of the Lord. Change and pursue true repentance. Switch to a higher gear: never be satisfied-always push your personnel boundaries. Comments are closed.
