11/29/2010 Manifesting FaithScriptures: Luke 17:11-19
In these verses, Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one leper found out why he was healed: "Thy faith hath made thee whole." He returned after his healing to give glory to God, the Word says he: "with a loud voice glorified God." Faith is manifested through our actions, James expressed it this way: "I will show you my faith by my works." So how do we manifest our faith? Through three actions: 1) The first action is identifying our needs. The lepers said to Jesus: "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us;" they made it known that they needed His touch. We must define what we want God to do in our lives. The lepers received what they needed "when he saw them," we must also be ready when God is ready to move! 2) The second action is to do exactly what God tells us to do. He told the lepers to "go show yourselves unto the priests." (The priest would declare them clean). Jesus did not say "come to me", He told them to go! They acted in faith before there was evidence it would work. 3) The third action is to learn from experience. Only one leper returned to thank Jesus and Jesus said to him: "Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole." This man had a part in his healing. Jesus had the power and his faith was the connection to that power. This man learned a major lesson: it was not the priest who provided his healing, it was not the nine other leper's faith or actions, but it was his faith in Jesus! Its time to manifest our faith by taking action. Identify the need in your life. Follow God's word to the letter and learn about the power of faith! Comments are closed.
